The stone material for a stone house is the ultimate insulation. With the ongoing energy crisis, many may oppose to dense stone because it is not considered a good insulating material. But – at least in most moderate climates – the stones will help keep you comfortable. They gain warmth slowly during the day, and then radiate that warmth during a cool night. The walls cooling at night will cool the interior of the house on the next day.

In excessive heat or cold, it is useful to have some form of additional insulation, as well as in constructions of different building materials.

If you carefully seal all the cracks around the doors and windows, you can be sure that it will not be possible for air to penetrate through this dense mass of stone and concrete.
